Outfit Of The Day: I Love My Self And I Wanna Live.

So I told my self that I would post an outfit of the day, a diary almost of what I have been wearing. I realized that I have only posted this once, so hear is outfit number 2.

 To day I had to go back into college to paint plywood to be the back drop for the college exhibition, completely a waist of time, but I didn't want to wear something which I would mind getting rewind. So I put on a pair of legins and an old T-shirt which I cut the sleeves of and opened up the neck line. {along with a few accessories of corse.}

I got the top at Bordmasters festival at Newquay about 3 years a go, Its a top from the blackout with the slogan "I love myself and i wanna live" :)

Lets Customize

So a little stripped for cash and slightly bored I decided to get some shorts cheep off ebay, I got this pair for £3 including p+p. I changed the fit, cut the length, distressed them and added studs. the shorts are now back on ebay with one day left to go.
I'll post later on how i did it all, but for now, hear are some more pictures. enjoy <3

Instead, hear are some photos, in the top 2 I am wearing the dress, were as in the rest my wonderful friend rachel is modeling them for me.

shoes and studs, oh how pretty

So a wile a go, I got these black wedges off ebay; and well they didn't quite fit. You see im a 6.5 with narrow feet normally wear size 7. So I brought these shoes in an 8, they fall right off. I know, I know, I didn't exactly think it through. But in my defense it did say in the description they better fit a size 7.

Any way, I decided to jazz the wedges up a little i know they don't fit, i'll get to that later. So using the cone studs added to my jumper:

There are 8 studs at the front of each shoe and 2 at the back. Each is applied by a screws and dousent effect the wear.

so now what to do with these pretty not so little shoes, resell them of corse. im putting them back on ebay :) I brought them for £18, and are selling them for £15, a bargain when you think i customized them my self.

i might just have do do this to a pair for me.

Lets Stud

I love studs! how can you not? So earlier when I went to get a jumper as the sun had gone in, I somehow ended up putting 10mm screw in cone studs along the shoulders of my jumper. But hay, i love it and will add better and more photos later ;p right now i need to continue making my final piece for college.

The Last Dance. pt 1.

So "The Last Dance" is the tittle for my final major project at college. I am making a bodice and skirt around the theme of the ballet. However, I will also be looking at “decay" and how things evolve and disintegrate over time.

Basically for your "FMP" you can do what ever you want, you just have to cary out lots of research and experiment lots making shore you do everything you say you will in your statement of intent.

some of the pages in my sketch book. Still got a long way to go though.

Outfit Of The Day

I love this dress. It's by QED London, it's a skater dress with a full circle skirt and came with the little belt. The print for me just makes this dress, its quite unique and the colours just pop. Then on top of it im wearing a shirt from Urban outfitters, although i cant remember what brand it's from.

I got the dress from a store i absolutely love called "enjoy clothing" although I live 300 odd miles away from it, I love shopping there, the store is full of vintage, retro and one off pieces as well as stocking clothing from independent designers all over the world.

Victoriana

This skirt was inspired was by the victorian period which lies between 1839- 1901. I started looking at the royals, with all their finery. However, with the death of price Albert a major part of Victoria's life, I then began to look at mourning. I became fascinated by the way that the passing of a loved one, especially in the case of loosing a husband, meant that a woman would only be able to wear black for a year. It could take up to two before a widow could wear colour again.

supporting the skirt corolin i made my self and above that are layers apon layers of ruffles all sewn into a elasticated waist band.[the bodice is from All saints- unfortunately not something I made my self.]
Then on the train are hundreds of little folded satin circles all sewn on by hand.

a couple of pictures from my college fashion show.
